I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults aged 18+. Sessions can be held face to face in my home office in Midlothian, Scotland or online, depending on your preference. I also offer outdoor therapy, combining talk therapy, somatic and mindfulness-based work and the power of the natural world to build peace and wellbeing.

Individual sessions are £60 or £45 for students/unwaged/low income and last 50 minutes. You may access as many or as few counselling sessions as are helpful for you. I work in a pluralistic way, which means that because each person is unique, there is no one-size fits all counselling process. I draw upon different therapeutic approaches and work collaboratively with you to shape your own healing journey.

My work is trauma-informed and I have training in trauma-focused approaches. I respect and value diversity of background, identity and experience, and am an LGBTQ+ ally.

To get in touch: please email rlmckinney@btinternet.com or phone me on 07907 044 204.

I offer a free online introductory consultation of around 20 minutes, so you can explore whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.

I am a member of the BACP and abide by their ethical framework and standards of practice.
